Linguistics as a course is concerned with the study of language. Though, there have been various misconceptions about the course linguistics. Even most scholars have little knowledge about what linguistics is all about. It is totally a fallacy to equate polyglots to linguists. People belief students of linguistics have the ability to speak many languages, but this is wrong. Concise News learned that spokesman for the examination body, Fabian Benjamin, made this known Sunday in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial centre.
